Repairs and Maintenance Person

The Role - Your duties will be varied – no two days will be the same. Must have own transport. Work will include the following (in support of qualified tradesmen as appropriate):

  • repair of doors, locks, windows (frames, furniture and glass), trims, furniture using a variety of materials and tools.

  • Maintenance and minor repairs to mechanical and electrical items.

  • Preparation of surfaces for painting and rendering. Re-pointing. Small works carpentry.

  • Drilling and restoration work for cabling and ducting.

  • Design and fit of small decorative and utility items such as wall lighting fittings or shelving units or temporary platforms.

  • Some heavy lifting eg furniture and equipment moving, builders materials

  • Some machinery operations indoors and outdoors such as steam cleaning, floor cleaning, window cleaning.

  • Some ladder work.

  • Handle paints and chemicals.

  • Gutters, gulleys and drain clearance

  • Swimming pool maintenance

  • Biomass cleaning routines

  • Some digging / trenching

  • Temporary fencing erection and removal

  • Outdoor waste bin operations

  • Keeping a log of all work done and filing reports.

  • Filing reports electronically and in paper format.

  • Other items as required.

Hourly paid part time / day rates: rate dependent on skills and experience. Some weekend work required.
