Repairs and Maintenance Person
The Role - Your duties will be varied – no two days will be the same. Must have own transport. Work will include the following (in support of qualified tradesmen as appropriate):
repair of doors, locks, windows (frames, furniture and glass), trims, furniture using a variety of materials and tools.
Maintenance and minor repairs to mechanical and electrical items.
Preparation of surfaces for painting and rendering. Re-pointing. Small works carpentry.
Drilling and restoration work for cabling and ducting.
Design and fit of small decorative and utility items such as wall lighting fittings or shelving units or temporary platforms.
Some heavy lifting eg furniture and equipment moving, builders materials
Some machinery operations indoors and outdoors such as steam cleaning, floor cleaning, window cleaning.
Some ladder work.
Handle paints and chemicals.
Gutters, gulleys and drain clearance
Swimming pool maintenance
Biomass cleaning routines
Some digging / trenching
Temporary fencing erection and removal
Outdoor waste bin operations
Keeping a log of all work done and filing reports.
Filing reports electronically and in paper format.
Other items as required.
Hourly paid part time / day rates: rate dependent on skills and experience. Some weekend work required.
